Ralph Travers
Ralph Travers died on 16 August 2009, without family and without a will. One of the nurses at the hospital arranged the funeral, and the word started to spread.
The Regiment provided a padre, a piper and pallbearers, who joined the few friends at the graveside. We inherited his military momentoes, which tell a bit of his story.He joined The Lorne Scots in 1944, and did his basic training.
